Wildwood Transitional Program is classified as a prisoner work oriented institution; therefore, prisoners are expected to maintain full-time jobs. They receive compensation for hours worked to pay bills or purchase commissary items.
There are various opportunities for prisoners to gain marketable job skills. While working along with skilled staff, they have a chance to see first hand how professionals, in particular trades, apply their skill. The Maintenance department offers jobs in vehicle maintenance and repair, plumbing, carpentry and electrical maintenance. Other jobs are available in Custodial, Laundry, or Food services, and gardening or other outdoor work is available. In addition, the Education department offers training in computers, apprenticeship programs, and Life Skills.
