The Anchorage Presentence Unit is located in Anchorage, Alaska. This unit conducts presentence investigations and writes presentence reports for the Superior Court. Presentence reports provide a comprehensive criminal and social history of the defendant, a synopsis of the referred offense, recommended conditions for probation, and in some cases a victim impact statement.
