The Bethel District Office encompasses field services for Pretrial, Probation and Parole within the community of Bethel, Alaska, as well as 56 surrounding remote villages. As the sole office in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, the geographical area the office covers is roughly the size of the state of Oregon. Located in the Bethel Native Corporation (BNC) Complex, it is conveniently positioned near the Public Defender's Office, Department of Labor, Office of Public Advocacy, and the Division of Public Assistance. All the aforementioned State offices are within the BNC Complex, for ease of contact and engagement of services for felony and Pretrial clients who are being formally supervised by the Department of Corrections upon release into the community.
