Pretrial, Probation & Parole Officers strive to provide a positive change in every town, village, and neighborhood in Alaska. COMPETITIVE PAY
Starting salaries for Pretrial, Probation and Parole Officers range between $26.61/hr to $49.38/hr depending on location. A PO I will advance to a PO II after 12-14 months of probationary service and upon successful completion of the Alaska Police Standards Council certification requirements. Officers are eligible for scheduled raises annually.
STATEWIDE OPPORTUNITIES
The Department of Corrections operates pretrial, probation and parole offices across the state including Anchorage, Bethel, Dillingham, Kenai, Kodiak, Mat-Su, Barrow, Fairbanks, Juneau, Ketchikan, Kotzebue, Nome and Sitka.
Flexible Schedule
Pretrial, Probation and Parole Officers work a 37.5 hour workweek. There are opportunities for flexible scheduling in the evening and on weekends.

TRAINING ACADEMY
Pretrial, Probation & Parole Officers are paid to attend a seven-week Training Academy that teaches the skills and knowledge base an officer needs to effectively and safely perform the duties of a Pretrial/Probation/Parole Officer. Some of the curriculum includes: case management, community placements, defensive tactics, firearms, communications, searches and restraints.
