The Utqiagvik Probation Office supervises probation and parole cases in the North Slope Borough, a 90,000 square mile area covering the northernmost tip of Alaska, overlooking the Arctic Ocean. There are 16 villages in our jurisdiction: Utqiagvik, Ambler, Atqasuk, Buckland, Deering, Kaktovik, Kiana, Kivalina, Kobuk, Noatak, Noorvik, Nuiqsut, Point Hope, Point Lay, Shungnak and Wainwright. The Utqiagvik office assists in supervising limited Pretrial cases, and has a strong partnership with the North Slope Borough Police Department, Alaska State Troopers and community providers.
